FAQs

Is this physical therapy or strength coaching?

It’s a blend of both, delivered as coaching, not a traditional clinic model. We use physical therapy principles alongside progressive strength training to help you reduce pain, build resilience, and understand how to manage your body long term. The focus isn’t short-term symptom relief, but lasting change.

Who is this for?

This is for mountain bikers, skiers, and active outdoor people who want to stay consistent, reduce flare-ups, and keep doing the activities they love for years. It’s especially helpful if you’ve tried rest, rehab, or quick fixes in the past and felt like you were stuck in a cycle.

Do I need to be in pain to work with you?

No. Many people start coaching to prevent injuries, build durability, or prepare for a season. Others come in with ongoing pain or recurring flare-ups. The approach adapts to where you are now and where you want to go.

How is this different from traditional rehab?

Traditional rehab often focuses on getting you out of pain and discharging you. This approach focuses on helping you understand your body, build real strength, and develop the skills to manage flare-ups and training stress on your own. The goal is independence, not repeated visits.

What does virtual coaching look like?

Coaching is delivered through scheduled virtual sessions, individualized programming, and ongoing support between check-ins. You’ll receive clear guidance, adjustments when things change, and help navigating flare-ups or training decisions as they come up.

Will this work if I’ve had injuries for a long time?

Yes, as long as you’re willing to be consistent and patient. Chronic or recurring issues often improve when the focus shifts from quick fixes to building capacity, understanding patterns, and progressing gradually. There are no guarantees, but this approach is designed for long-term improvement.

Do I need special equipment?

No. Programs are built around what you have access to and what fits your life. If you have a gym, great. If you train at home, we’ll make that work too.

Is this right for me if my schedule is busy?

Yes. Coaching is designed to be flexible and realistic. We focus on what you can actually do consistently, not what looks perfect on paper.

Do you take insurance?

We do accept HSA/FSA if it qualifies under your benefits, but no insurance.
