Built by a Physical Therapist Who Rides

external-file_edited_edited_edited.jpg

I’m Dr. Mikayla Jansen, a Doctor of Physical Therapy and mountain biker. After years of treating riders after they got hurt, I saw the same thing again and again. Most injuries could have been prevented with the right strength work, and old injuries kept flaring up because the patterns behind them never got fixed. So I built programs around one goal: making riders stronger overall, so their bodies can handle what the trail throws at them and old injuries stop coming back.

I created this subscription based app so every rider can get that level of expertise, not just the ones who can afford ongoing 1:1 care. For less than most gym memberships, you get DPT-designed training with every program included.

From Riders Who've Trained With AYP

"I'm noticing positive changes after two weeks. I've had a history of disc issues and felt supported in managing my lower back and focusing on good movement quality."

- Coached member (Back program)

"I've been consistent with the program and I'm noticing improvements. It's made me mindful of making smart adjustments to protect my lower back!"

- Self-guided member (Back program)

"Started with the back pain prevention program to fix my movement patterns, then moved into strength once I felt solid. Glad I did both."

App Training FAQs

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes, cancel anytime directly in the app - no need to contact anyone.

Can I try it first for free?

Yes, each self-guided program has a 7 day free trial to make sure you enjoy using the app and video guidance.

Can I switch programs later?

Yes, you can switch at any point between programs. You can pause programs and restart them later when life gets busy. You can switch between the gym and home versions also.

Do I need special equipment?

Every at home program is built for resistance bands only (and some dumbbell substitutes for those that have them). The gym ones require a squat rack, barbells and plates, and dumbbells.

What's the difference between self-guided and coached?

Self-Guided is fully independent. Coached adds ongoing messaging and personalization of programs, making it tailored to your needs.

What if I'm having pain or an injury?

While these programs are based in principles of injury prevention and designed by a physical therapist, they are not to replace physical therapy for those with injuries. I do offer virtual physical therapy (and in person in Bellingham, WA) for those needing rehab support.
